We don't trust these people to spend our money any more. We can pass fare legislation as soon as we vote the bums out.

There’s a lot of Senators who should be fired or a reduction in their pay for just sitting around and not doing their jobs

Why the Hell aren't more celebrities doing what John Stewart is doing?

This was GOP sour grapes crushed on the backs of our sick, desperate & dying Vets. If GOP want to make a stand on mltry spending accountability, do it on the general DOD budget where trillions of unaccountable $'s are given to mltry contractors. Do it when it takes REAL political courage. DO NOT do it on the backs of OUR sick, desperate & dying Vets who needed this help yrs ago.

Joni Ernst voted against the bill. She’s a veteran! She served. What in the hell. Beyond my imagination. Why?!

My son was a navy corpsman who prior to going to Iraq went to FMF school. When he got his pay he noticed money was taken out of his check. My son found out the Republicans had decided anyone on temporary duty status would have their meals and lodging prorated and deducted from their paychecks. My son was also working at the clinic and attending FMF school prior to going to Iraq. When I enlisted in 1975 I was told I had VA health care. I found out later because I did not serve during a time of war I am a priority 8 vet. If I qualified for health benefits and needed inpatient care the first 90 days is $1364 after that it is $ 683 for 90 days and then it is $ 10/day. Priority 8 vets also have to pay for their prescriptions. The only thing Republicans appreciated from the veterans were the war profits, non bided contracts and tax breaks. To quote a prolife republican "War is good for business."

Well spoken Jon. Our well paid, underperforming politicians have NEVER truly cared about the lives nor welfare of America's Veterans. To Republicans - America's Veterans are for a show and not about substance.

The media never tells you whats in the bill.

I get being a conservative but I Don’t understand how any veteran can support Republicans.

Try telling the truth. The Republicans would be more than happy to pass the bill if the 400 billion clause was removed. Very simple concept. Remove the garbage and the bill would pass with overwhelming bipartisan support
