Such bravery, what heroes they are! Getting this disabled old lady out of that chair and beating her up made us all safer. Thanks officers for keeping us safe.

You can see on her face how confused and terrified she was, SHAME on ALL OF THEM!!

Nothing makes me think of Heroism more, than 6 to 7 police, facing a distress elderly disable person! Absolute Bravery...thankfully, no officer was harm arresting the suspect!!!

Sadly the cops will not learn anything from this.
The will investigate themselves and conclude that they did nothing wrong. They can never admit fault or failure because then they would be liable for their actions.

To the Police: Making yourself so easy to hate is a terrible public relations strategy. Also, the cops who denied this woman medical care, should be fired, lose their law enforcement certifications, and be charged. At this point, finding a good cop is like seeing a Yeti.

My heart aches for this poor lady! First and foremost, this starts with those gate attendants, who should be FIRED for being dismissive and (therefore discriminating toward a deaf customer. Unconscionable and unforgivable!

How could they criminally trespass her if she paid for a ticket 🎫 and is not even capable of hearing?

Imagine reading a trespass order to a deaf person then arresting her because she failed to comply. Beyond belief.

She was terrified! Not only did the police act like criminals, but who called them on her in the first place instead of helping her??

So, a deaf person is misunderstood, harassed, and jailed because of a lack of critical thinking skills, cognitive awareness by police & airport staff, and sheer mental laziness.

I'm disgusted. Everyone involved failed that poor lady miserably. I hope they are all held accountable. It takes real men hiding behind a badge to beat up on an old lady.

How disgusting is our world getting? All of these people and not a one with compassion, sympathy or empathy.

I did my best to follow up on this. A lawsuit was filed at some point but is currently on hold. The injury to her arm/wrist happened while they were strip searching her. She passed out from the pain and when she became conscious her clothes were back on her, but inside out.

I'm sorry! WTF is wrong with these people? How could anyone in a position of authority not see and understand the situation? I hope she gets millions in compensation!

Makes me wonder how the people involved with this poor elderly lady would feel if someone acted this way with their elderly parents. The people at the counter, the airport employees, the arresting officers, the jail guard and finally the police department issuing this statement that means they will not change a thing.

She was clearly a huge threat, sitting there quietly, not responding to commotion around her, and playing with her phone. So glad the police arrive and saved us from this old lady! I wasnt even there and I was scared!

How the hell was this a criminal tresspass arrest? I can rob a store in NYC or Sanfrancisco and not be subject to arrest and here they throw her in jail because shr can't communicate. Every one involved was incompetent They should all be sued personally.

Imagine reading a no trespass order to a deaf person and being able to look at yourself in the mirror ever again.
