Why ultrawide monitors won't make you more productive.

I've actually found that ultra wide monitors don't make you more productive by enabling you to multitask, but instead they enable you to focus better on one task at a time.

I’m a web developer. With ultrawide I can have the website I’m working on, my server directory, my terminal, and Visual Studio all open at the same time rather than have to flip between each window to perform basic tasks. The screen real estate of an ultrawide definitely increases my productivity and helps me save time.

Sorry but i think you are wrong, you are assuming only video editing, what about engineering/cad etc, i do this and you need lots of screen space for not just the cad task you are working on, but all the supporting information on say, web browsers, pdf documents and alternative views.
