My issue with exercising is that I'm on my feet 7-9 hours at a time as a personal shopper (the person who shops for online grocery orders), speed walking and rushing around. My feet hurt so bad at the end that the thought of exercising on them after nearly brings me to tears. 😭

This is a pretty good summary. Starting back workouts after not doing them since highschool (almost 30yo). Helped when I was basically told what to do and I participated in sports but dropped off in college to focus on studies. Kept making excuses as why not to start back and now I don't know how to start. My wife and I have been modifying our diets based on what makes us feel good and we think that's been our underlying issue. Wish me luck that I can figure out this workout thing y'all

I just walked 2 miles and did some weight lifting after 2 years and 5 months of doing nothing but laying around. I feel high and happy... It's insane, I'm clinically depressed, and have been since 17 when I was diagnosed. I don't feel helpless and unmotivated, after one day of basic exercise... I love this.

Thank you!! These concepts aren’t exclusive to exercise, but even the smallest things. I’ve really struggled with my mental health this year, and I’m definitely not alone in that but it’s been a real challenge. I wish more people had your attitude, your videos give me some hope that I can change! Keep doing what you’re doing⭐️

I had a spinal injury and after finishing physical therapy, I was just told to start exercising without any direction. So it's been a frustrating journey of trying to get healthy again because exercise is so difficult and I Keep failing/giving up. Your video had some excellent points and I think maybe I've just been trying too hard, ironically. Thanks.

I tried for a few months now to find a sustainable workout routine for myself without much success :( I always set my goals too high and end up exhausted and burnt out after two weeks.

Trying to start from scratch now and build a good routine for myself :) Thank you for the tips!!

Last year I began exercising around June and stuck to it for 5 to 6 days a week for 4 months and lost almost 20 pounds, but also clearly toned myself up. Fast forward to now I stopped after those 4 months and have regained all the weight I lost and have become rather flabby. I started a very physically demanding job in October and have since also clearly gained some muscle and with it an appetite. I am now rather top heavy in my opinion and would like to even myself out by gaining muscle mass for my bottom half and losing the excess fat I have. With diet alone I have struggled to lose even 5 pounds and I have been seriously eating right for 3 months now. I've decided that I have to incorporate exercise in my life and finally just get in shape before its too late.

I’ve a had a sedentary life for years. My spouse’s job allows me to stay at home. Sadly it hasn’t benefited my health. I suffer from health anxiety and panic attacks. And have a few health issues. And getting started with exercise triggers my anxiety. I get dizziness with certain motion. Any type of fast movement triggers my vertigo.e So working out tends to make me dizzy. Feeling kinda hopeless 😞

I just had a great workout, I got off the couch after hours of watching tv, walked to the fridge speedily to get a few more beers and more snacks then ran back quickly to the couch. Lots of calories burnt there I tell you

I got pregnant then covid hit. I’ve been struggling in life so freaking hard mentally, financially and physically. Fast forward two years and I still can’t do much without feeling the burn. I so badly want to be fit.

Thank you for your videos. I struggle to exercise because I am overweight. I get out of breath just walking around the flat.

Place of abundance over place of restriction is a massive change in perspective and can be so much more helpful ngl. Im gonna have to try this. I like eating and im not fat but after 2 years of inactivity my belly is slowly growing. I should include better stuff into my diet as well as enjoy the food i already eat like rice and curry (im asian it’s all i eat). That along with exercise should be fine. This is what i used to do before anyways my issue is getting back into a lifestyle of activity and exercise again

4:51 is so true. Being honest wth WHY you are and NEED to do this is both a motivator but an ANCHOR.
And, will become powerful when you're bodily or mentally resisting. Becausse every time you remind yourself WHY you're doing this and WHAT YOU'RE CHANGING it will be like a invisible work out partner willing you on.

I haven't even started and I KNOW this. I'm 45 and I my legs hurt. I am out of shape. Mentalally and otherwise.
PLUS? In 25 years, I'll be 70. If this is how I am NOW, how bad will I be in 25 years, if I've continued living like I am?

It really is SAVING YOUR FUTURE or YOURSELF. OR BOTH.
And here's another thing: ME. YOU. Have SO MUCH POWER in how ourselves and lives can go.
WE are the authors of our lives. We determine how the story goes. AND HOW IT ENDS.

David
