This video literally saved my life. I woke up this past weekend with a lot of pain in my stomach around my belly button area. At first I thought it was just a stomach bug because I threw up, but then the pain migrated to just the right side. This is when I saw your video. I ended up going to the ER and sure enough I had appendicitis. I was able to have surgery before anything serious happened but if I didn’t watch this video who knows what would have happened. Thank you!

You may be first but you are blank. Last year I drive myself to the hospital with pain by my belly button. No prior signal. Operated on several hours later. Excellent surgeon removed 17” of small bowl because my appendix was wrapped around it. Iodine sensitivity was not treated before surgery because not enough time. Had no idea it could have moved as fast as it did. I was so lucky to survive since I was also on blood thinners because I had a heart attack one month before. There is more but will not bore everyone. Never a sick day in my life. Thin, fit & did everything right. Just a warning to people who were as cocky as I was about my health. You never know! I am back to my cocky self because of wonderful, super smart doctors.

Thank you for this. My stomach got swollen and tender to the touch and extreme pain. The pain never migrated to the right side, it was continually in the center. By the time I got to urgent care I was completely slumped over in agonizing pain and sweating from the pain . They called an ambulance and I was in surgery a few hours later. Everyone should know the signs of appendicitis

I just went in and had mine removed less than 24 hours ago! Doing well but feels like a strong hard abs workout after! Always good to get checked out if your having very bad stomach pains.. don’t worry about Covid when to comes to this!

I had to get my appendix out last month, after having flares of abdominal pain for 2 months (don’t be stubborn like me, I was lucky mine didn’t burst!). I am grateful for all the hospital staff who took care of me and made my hospital experience smooth ❤️ 🇨🇦

Watched this Video at 2am yesterday morning as I had a extreme belly ache, with a strange feeling in my lower right abdomen. Got to A&E at 4am. Diagnosed with appendicitis by 6am and had Surgery to remove it by 2pm! Crazy day but thanks for the explanation and confidence to check it out at the hospital 👍

It was great watching this. Incidentally, I had a laparoscopic appendectomy on Tuesday night (Oshawa Lakeridge). It was great watching this because these very things were discussed with me by the Emerg Doctor and in more depth with the Surgeon; I had a CT scan performed prior along with preliminary blood work.

Surgery went very well. I spent the evening in the hospital. Antibiotics were given via I.V. and vitals monitored closely. Great staff at Oshawa Lakeridge, I was treated very well. The Surgeon was great! I was given breakfast and tolerated that very well. Then I was discharged with the 'after care' information necessary, and a follow-up appointment with the Surgeon in a couple of weeks.

Thank you for posting this video.

As a teenager 55 years ago I went to a party on a Saturday night. I felt a bit funny in the gut area and soon I got pain every time I took a drink of beer. After a while I got really bad gas in the gut and had to fart. They were the worst smelling farts I have ever experienced in my life. I decided to go home to bed and the next morning at about 10AM I began to get terrible pains back again. Two hours later I was in surgery and had my appendix removed. In those days I was in hospital for about five days recovering.
I have always thought that whole had that whole affair been 200 years ago, I would have been dead at 18.

Thank you for our Surgeons and Medicine..At least from 200 years and thousands of years back, humans sadly died simply by an Appendicitis, or burst appendix. 😓

Thank you for saving humans daily..🙏🙌

My uncle died from this back in the early 60's in Mexico (a few years before I was born) at age 37 and he was just given some pills by a "doctor". He lasted throughout the night and passed in the early morning. My dad would tell me about this when I was a kid and being the hypochondriac that I was, I always thought I was having it every time I had a slight stomach ache.
