Unfortunately, too many people buy VSOs on Amazon and not violins from shops that offer decent student violins and bows. There's nothing more discouraging than a bad instrument.

I’m playing in a country band a year since picking it up, but I’ve played mandolin a long time so I had a bit of a leg up
