Finally a title that tells the truth. Never let corporate media blame the workers, ever.

SOLIDARITY! Workers deserve more money and CEO's and management deserve LESS!

These companies are earning billions, management getting $10ks in bonuses. Working are getting low wages. Companies don't want to pay when dedicated, efficient, honest, safe, and dependable workers are injured on the job.

$20/hr is the top end for non-administrative longshoremen. Some companies go as low as $13/hr, and the work can be dangerous.

If I’ve done the math correctly, at the end of 6 years ($30/hr increase for 45, 000 workers) it will cost the corporations 2.8 billion more per year in labor costs. With approximately $100 billion per year in profits ($400 billion since 2020), this is less than a 3% reduction in net profit. I think they can handle this, and there should be no reason to mess with the economy by not agreeing to labor’s terms. Greed and power-seeking are toxic.

$400, 000, 000, 000 in net profit just since 2020.

That's not much of a union if they are only making less than $20.00 an hour. They should be asking for $35.00 dollars per hour plus cost of living which pays more based on inflation or something like that. They should ask work a 4 day work week at 8.5 hours. Anything over 34 hours should be overtime (OT) People are tired of seeing billionaires building space rockets cuz they have time and money to burn.

They’re not even asking for that much more money. It’s pretty stupid that the corporations are fucking people over like this.

Thankfully, this issue will get resolved and not that long

What the hell are corporations going to do when there's no one that can afford to buy their shit

WTF? Do they really get paid that little? Longshore out west makes killer money. What the hell happened?.

The money should be taken from the shareholders. It's disgusting how republicans have voted for that over and over again, and done all they can to break unions.

Am I an asshole for thinking these folks already were making $50/hr…….

Corps never cease to disappoint.

yeah, EVERYONE'S gonna have to recognize how vital these brilliant people are to the functioning of our society. we all need to put the pressure on their bosses to respect their demands, or we'll ALL be feeling it even more so than we do now. Their plight is our plight, we are all here together! Good for them!! This is the time to mobilize!!

Good well-deserved that’s ridiculous that they only make $20 an hour is dockworkers. That used to be a high-end job where you’d make a good living supporting an entire family with one person.

Geez, they’re not asking for much. But those Insatiables, the profit takers, can’t give an inch. Or a dollar or five.

$5/year for six years more than doubles their pay up to $55/hour. They certainly deserve that, I just cant imagine a corporation ever ever doing that. They may prefer to just watch the whole world burn. Something we can all do for free. Hope not though. Hope not.
