As of now, things have changed slightly in the ticketing process. Instead of "you MUST have a physical ticket", things are going more digital. If you make a reservation online and receive an email with a QR code, the code can be used at the boarding gate. If you cannot print the code or don't have a phone that can display it, they may be able to print you a physical ticket, and the physical ticket will have the QR code on it as well. The gate agents no longer "rip" the tickets, they scan the barcode.
It is all a new work in progress, so things may change slightly, but this is CE's new system as of now.
