Thanks for tips! My old deceased mom showed me how to do an old fashioned “peel n stick” that works great! We had to cover hideous kitchen wallpaper in rental! I bought inexpensive unbleached muslin material and Procion cold fabric dye and dyed it a nice dusty blue in washing machine. Ironed it. Got big bowl of fabric starch and dipped each piece in it and slapped it on the wall and smoothed and cut around it and let it dry!!! Looked great and lasted 3 years even with cooking steam. We moved and peeled each piece off!!! Then i used water and mopped walls and starch residue came right off!!! Deposit fully returned!!!

I used to use the wet paper towel hack for my cutting boards, but I found that I was wasting so much paper. Then one day, I bought a silicone baking mat and put it under the board. I have been using that instead ever since, and it works like a charm. No waste, no fuss.

For the wobbly candles, if you burn the end a bit, the melted wax will keep the candle steady once you place it back in the holder.

Cut any onion without tears by just keeping your mouth closed as you cut. Learned while working in a restaurant kitchen. Amazing

This was so amazing! I’ve watched a million DIY hacks and they are all the same stuff. I think there’s probably 20 ideas I can use! Thank you!🙏

I use my blow dryer on the high heat setting to remove labels. It works great. Just put the blower close to the label for about 30 seconds and it warms up the glue and then you can peel off the label. 😊

I learned the paper towel hack after sweeping over 50 years ago from my grandmother. I remember seeing her do this when I was a little girl. I used to help her. Lol I do that til this day. 😊

Thanks for some great hacks. Here are a couple of things to try:
* For the scissors hack at 37:50, instead of using aluminum foil to sharpen scissors, wash, dry, and save the little foil lids that come on single-serve apple sauce, coffee, and other foods. Then, when it's time to sharpen some scissors, cut one of them up and drop it into the recycle bin.
* For removing labels from jars, fill the jar with hot water and then use hot water or your favorite method on the outside to remove the label while the hot water is still in the jar. Heat is glue's enemy.

I keep the used dryer sheets and use them to clean with. They wipe up dried washing powder liquid so easily, remove dust off of anything and yes have used them on baseboards, wet a little and clean off tennis shoes, etc. Great way to recycle and get extra uses out of them.

Goo gone never fails me in taking off labels. When there is leftover stickiness/little bit of label left on the jar, I use the scrubby side of a two-sided sponge and Dawn dish detergent.
As a side note regarding using peanut butter to remove labels, if it really worked, then get a cheap jar somewhere because I would not waste my good peanut butter on anything like that! 😁

Soaking the jars in hot, soapy water has typically worked for me. Loved all the hacks. GREAT!

I rinse berries off, as usual, pat with paper towel, as usual, and put in a jar (Mason, old pasta, old pickle). Bought large container of blackberries as test, dated lid, and when I used them it had been 6 weeks and no mold. I did rinse and pat again. I loved some of these 👍

When you have Pompous grass you can spray it with hairspray to prevent shedding. Love you and all you do! 🙏💜

I used the draw-strings bags to house all the Dollar Tree items we put in the bag for a Blessing Bag for the homeless. We used the large zip lock bags to hold socks, 1 towel, 1 wash cloth, gloves, toboggan, hair scrunchies, etc. I used the zipper makeup bags placed feminine napkins, and tampons, feminine wipes, baby wipes, they're are so many other ways I used items as hacks to finish adding items to the bags to keep items together and not allow liquid items to leak into the bags. The bags were such a huge hit we're going to make small blessing bags to keep in your vehicle and hand them to homeless quickly when you see someone. They're so very appreciative when they receive them.

I have used a wooden clothespin for holding a nail while pounding it. Works good too.

I like how you are willing to try out suggestions and give an honest opinion. Also, you get right to the point!🏆

I knew about not mixing bananas with apples but only learned 4 years ago to wrap the tops of the bananas at the stalk where they are connected with a self sticking plastic wrap. This prevents the enzyme in that end from spreading down the fruit and ripening the fruit. I've found my bananas last at least twice as long by doing this as soon as I get them home from the store.😊 Thank you for some great hacks Liz!

Wet paper towels are also great to pick up pieces of broken glass, especially tiny pieces. I always save my plastic coffee containers and tops and put the broken pieces in the container. Broken glasses seem to happen quite a bit with children and a husband ... haha. That keeps folks from getting cut when pushing garbage down to make room and cutting the garbage bag. Discard the covered coffee container into garbage bag or save to "add to".

Wonderful! The “string jar” can be done with an empty Parmesan container. The lid will also fit a mason jar. The holes work well with drinking straws. Blessings!
