You know what I like about your videos? The fact that you speak quickly about your ideas without too much talking. You get to the point quickly and move on. Love listening to you. My favorite the hot water in the candles to get wax out.

My boyfriend suggested putting a dab of the paint on the back side of the outlet cover as well, in case it's discontinued by the brand. That way it can be color matched.

You should be careful about using anything for drinking that is made for another use. My high school Chemistry teacher taught us that beakers and other laboratory vessels shed microscopic glass shards constantly. Anything meant for drinking needs to be specifically treated and/or tested for that purpose. There's a chance a glass holder for a candle is food safe. There's also a chance that it sheds glass shards, like a beaker. Stay safe folks.

I used to work in a pottery outlet and we used price stickers on everything. Whenever the owners decided to change prices or put on a sale, we would have to remove all the price stickers and put on new ones (so removing stickers on about a thousand items). We would spray the price sticker with windex, then use the back end of a swiffer duster (the plastic holder piece) to push the sticker and adhesive off. Windex breaks down sticker adhesive in about 10 seconds, so no need to wait 20mins to remove your sticker tags!

For clean paint lines with tape, if you don't have the original wall color you can use matte mod podge. It will also fill in the bleed area with clear then paint your new color. Perfect line.

Your tip on covering the books brings back memories of us having to cover our textbooks with grocery bags. Now you know I’m a boomer!

Another good tip that I use when I have a candle that is too small for the holder is to wrap an elastic band around the base of the candle. This usually makes the candle fit snugly and it eliminates a build up of wax inside the candle holder.

Writing the paint color on the outlet cover is GENIUS! Tell your dad I think he is amazing and I am absolutely doing this when we repaint this spring!

I like the tape grid over the vase tip. I do the flower arrangements for my church sanctuary and one tip I use is crumpling the cellophane the flowers come in and putting it in the clear glass vases with the flowers then add water. It raises the stems up when the vase is too tall for the flowers to sit right and it will give the appearance of ice chunks in a clear vase.

As for removing the candles you can also freeze them and they pop right out. 🎉
As for the caulking if you have a small bucket and a sponge 🧽 you keep your finger wet and run the sponge across it after your finger it has a clean finished look. 😉

I love this guys energy and how he’s so passionate about what he’s doing. Even if it’s old tips like the duvet thing, he’s being helpful by sharing it instead of trying too hard to be only different or only innovative

WD-40 for sticker removal has always worked the best for me. When I was in grade school (I'm old), every year we had to cover our school text books with paper grocery bags. Great video!

Use washi tape to secure paper covers to your books to prevent damaging the inside covers when you remove the tape. Also, put spent candleholders in the fridge or freezer; the old wax will just pop out.

As someone that has worked in the paint departments at Home Depot and Lowe's, there's a problem with getting a paint sample from behind the outlet plate. To get a decent color match, we would recommend getting a sample at least the size of a quarter. Depending on the machine that is scanning the sample, a size of a dime might work. Anything smaller than that is useless. If your walls are textured, you might as well start over with your paint color because it never matches.

Loved the home hacks, I'm a 68 year old lady that has remodeled and decorated more homes than I can count and you had some tips I was happy to learn!!

My favorite hack is writing the room color in the back of the light switch/plug cover. I would probably also paint 1/2 of the back in case the color is discontinued they can color match. When calking instead of spraying the calk just wet your finger and it smooths out well. I also like the hack of spraying the mat with clear flex seal. Great video.

Well done, sir, well done. I pride myself on usually knowing 100 hacks for every situation, and you taught me a LOT. As a side note... You seem exceptionally grounded and genuine, and to put it simply, nice! Compared to other YouTube personalities, I think I would actually enjoy hanging out with you, and having a decent time. Tell whoever raised you, they did a stellar job!
