And i think another thing missing is, instead that giant implant mechanism they have to use micro version of implanting device or something small doing that without causing much stress... ie a bee or bug size sensor planting mechanism ... or may be ewen a molecular robot with adressing capabilities or instead it could be easier to use i2c like protocol which each sensor acts individually and planted randomly but each sensor having a unique id... and transmitting in rf like 1cm signal by using may be heat or signals power itself to power rf sugnal...

ground breaking tech indeed. But I can imagine in the future, we'll have weapons that can be controlled with the mind. In which it would make it much harder to detect who done it.
