Do It Again - Steely Dan (acoustic cover)

I'm finally back in Canada, with my recording gear and can start making proper YouTube videos again! Here is my acoustic cover of a really fun song by Steely Dan called "Do It Again" , its the opening track from their album "Can't Buy A Thrill" released in 1972. One of the coolest bands out there, they've made some incredible music over the years. Musically they play some of the most interesting arrangements blending rock, jazz, blues and funk in truly groundbreaking ways especially since they were able to make it mainstream. I've always loved their inventive and quirky lyrics as well -- totally original. I'm not completely happy with this take (I rarely am) as there's a couple rhythm mistakes in the solo but it was probably the best one of the day so I figured I'd go with it. Hope you enjoy!

What, do you sleep with that thing?!
One of the best acoustic guitar players l’ve ever seen! Every note rings out clear and full, while some people, playing longer than you’ve been alive, can’t fully pull off a song like Do It Again with such perfection.
Love that guitar, too!

Yes, excellent! A cover exactly like I like it. Original, groovin, expressive.

This is the artist on the horizon. Truly the best non-famous artist on the net and there's some good ones. He'd fill some 500 seat arenas just doing covers.

I'd known the guy was amazing just by choosing a Steely Dan tune to cover to. After listen to some of his other covers, I've had to come back here and say: This guy is an amazing artist. Well done, Corey!

This guy is hands down the best acoustic cover artist on YT. Been at it for years, consistent as a MFr, great song choices, and does an INCREDIBLE job at making each one his with his own unique styling of getting the lead melodies in perfectly without taking away the feel. This man is a true player and I hope he is recognized for this. Check out his “that’s life” Sinatra cover

Another impressive cover from Corey ( as usual !!!). Like for his interpretation of Moondance, Corey does not only show how he master the technique but he also plays and sings with his heart and guts ... I am a great fan of Steely Dan and I do like very much this interpretation; lots of feeling. Bravo ...

The word sensational isn't used very often by me, this is one of the few times I've found it appropriate to describe this remarkable spectacle. Outstanding cover, one of the greatest I've ever seen in my life and I worked in the industry.
