the Adani Group is NOT suing Hindenberg as threatened --- this tells me Adani does not want to answer questions in the court.

In India, the focus is on two things: Is the Hindenburg report credible? I think Adani should engage international audit farms to come clean.
Are SBI and LIC customers going to lose money?

Somebody, or some group, has obviously made billions by short selling Adani stock, which is not in itself necessarily illegal. But you've got to ask yourself why the company was so vulnerable to this - and was their former stock price related to the true value of the company?

When there's a problem in India, the minister would first of all say, "No problem"! If that doesn't work, he'll say, "How is it a problem, tell me"! If that doesn't work, he'll say, "It's just a small problem"! If that also doesn't work, he'll say, "It's not my problem"! If that also doesn't work, he'll solve the problem by blaming China, Pakistan, Congress and everyone's happy.
End of problem !

The stock market value depends on the future profitability of the companies.

I agree with the first comment; it's a storm in a teacup.
Books indicate certain probabilities, to ascertain which, the past performance and assets of the Adani Group; in particular the capabilities of Mr. Adani as an entrepreneur.

In other words "Chai Walla " lost more than $ 100 Billion.

How can a short seller also do research?

Adanis's investments are on the real economy of India. In old days, the Government would have done these, now Adani is doing these. So the money of the SBI and LIC are not wasted.

It could be a payback for India not completely supporting the US in its war against Russia.

Even Robert Vadra's company received a lot of inflow from Mauritius? Despite this being in public domain, it was never investigated .

Till now Adani group has been operator managed. Now it has fallen it's actual value...as a group it can be valued at 80 to 90 billion USD...
There is no way it can be valued more than RIL which is more profitable and with lot of assets...

If this report is true then indian Investors confidence in regulators like SEBI/RBI.. might be shaken. If there are loopholes then why regulators could not find out and how small company in USA find that out?

The shares of pharmaceuticals, for example, shoot up when one of its products is approved by FDI. How did the shares of Adani's group, which is mainly in the service sector, go up quickly and that too when there is no business due to COVID-19? If the govt. enterprises that are not doing that well given to him, how did they start generating so much income to increase the share price enormously? Just Asking.
