Watching the recent highlights of Diego Costa's goals for Chelsea, I can say Lukaku is an average waste of money. Costa moves better, can sneak away from defenders while Lukaku just stays and tries to bully his way to score, Costa can score with both feet, and it was just a pure joy watching him unlike the statue Lukaku.

I'd rather have my blood boiling from timo missing chances than Lukaku stand like a statue on the pitch. Ziyech scored b2b for 3 games now. Truth be told we've been bang average since that Liverpool draw at the bridge.

Tired of this Lukaku experiment, Werner might not score but his movement creates space and goal scoring opportunities. Chelsea doesnt need a big unmobile target man, might as well kept Giroud who is tecnically better

Lots of plastics here lol, if you don't like it f off. It's a tough season, yes, but we aren't playing bad. We are playing decent football only the attack is misfiring a bit. However, funnily enough our finishing was top notch today, that saved us from the dreaded 0 0. Yes we are having difficulties in the league, but we hardly lose, and we always give it our all. We are showing great fighting spirit recently and that is extremely important. We didn't let the fa cup game go to penalties or the cwc final. And even today we were like no we're getting the points today. As tuchel said this is perfect cup mentality. It just doesn't always translate well to the league. I don't think we will be this sloppy against lille. We love a good cup tie. But let's see. For all the negativity here, we finally won 2 in a row in the pl in like forever so keep fighting boys we believe in you!

Why is Werner being treated like that. Lukaku has started last 5 Chelsea games and has done nothing.
Why not play Werner? Why not bring pace to such a slow attack.

I hate when Werner misses but now I see how good his runs were compared to Lukaku who is always offside or gets that 1st touch horribly wrong.

Lukaku's game is not proper for Chelsea. It was their pace and movement that helped them last season.
We played better without Lukaku during his absence and Allegri mentioned the same.

No proper wing back is a issue as well when we keep going to center instead of whipping a ball in the center.

I’ve been watching Tuchel’s PC since he was appointed. I have to say, he wasn’t like this last year. He gave honest answers.

I am a bit disappointed to his answer today about having a week preparation. Surely there would be time to recover and play better football that we saw. He gives a lot of excuses lately.

He had to admit the lack of cohesion at the front and the awful slowness of ball movement.

Stop focusing on Lukaku. Pulisic, poor; Havertz, not good enough today; Kante, poor on the ball; Sarr, poor; Jorginho, not good enough today. Lukaku was not the main issue today. He had so few touches because we couldn’t progress the ball into Palace’s final third. We should give credit where it’s due though. I think Palace were really good off the ball today.

Our midfielders are not releasing the balls to Lukaku. They are not crossing and they are not giving him the quick passes especially during counter attacks. Look at the header he scored at the FIFA Club World Cup tournament. It was a cross from Odoi. They should give him the balls.

Of course he was agitated with the question about having a week spare to prepare.... it was a stupid question. They played Feb 5, 9, and 12th (ONE WEEK!) with travel to and from Abu Dhabi in that week. So yeah they had a week to date from the game with Palmeiras but they won a tournament, and traveled in that time. Come on people - noone is a robot.

Is anyone ever going to speak about how poor Pulisic has been since that half a season restart during the pandemic? He has gone backwards at an alarming rate and todays game was just painful to watch. I was honestly very surprised to see him stay on. Also what does Werner have to do to start or make a sub appearance?
