Basically I should imagine, when he is in G5, he is dancing the drums of liberation, and he needs to rest time to time to keep dancing, just how one gets tired of dancing for extended periods of time.

G4 does a similar thing. It’s due to him using haki+ a transformation. G5 takes more out of him. It wouldn’t make sense for him to impose these limits on himself during a battle where he’s already at a disadvantage.not only that but he has no idea what was happening to him he just accepted it. He needs to train more with g5 like he did with g4 so the side affects aren’t strong/gone
