"Dust Slinging Badass" should be on a t-shirt.

Wow, never even heard of a rack stop but that is simple brilliance--off to the shop I go! I could make that before the kids even wake up!

One from a recent Rob cosman video that I just applied was to use a couple of rubber seals on either end of the handle, so that they lessen the impact on the ends of the handle.

I enjoyed this tutorial video. I gave a "thumbs up" for your efforts therein as well as your tribute to Thomas Sowell.

We have a 200 year old workbench sitting in the hay loft. It’s truly beautiful but it’s getting old, the vice is a huge wooden thing and it’s got all sorts of cool parts that I’m sure have elaborate uses. Anytime I see a new workbench I think “I need one of those” then I remember there’s a nice 15’x10’ pilgrim age one chillin in the barn. It’s so old most people wouldn’t believe it.

I know of no way to say thank you other than here. I finished my bread board end table using one of the methods you showed. Screws. I was in a quandary as to how I would attach the ends and nobody else showed doing it with screws. Made my own floating tenons. Anyway, thank you very much.

I love watching videos like this even though I'm useless working with wood. I can weld and work on cars, but wood? Nope.

You remind me of my high school shop teacher. Dude was funny af, and vompletely unfiltered. His class actually had a Parental Permission slip that was required, since we were using power tools. The permission slip held a section at the bottom informing parents about his "potty mouth" right above the signature line.

Absolutely great tips. I didn’t follow the instructions and put the 2% angle on the face of the vice. Time for a fix

Another idea for a rack stop I use is I've cut a 6in oak wedge that's ~1.5" at the thick end. I insert my work piece and give the wedge and quick tap with my hammer.

Nice! And I am jealous of your workshops.

Great Short! I don't remember which YouTuber I got this from, but he suggested getting a stack of laminate samples from the big box stores and run a bolt through them. Similar to your idea. Keep the shorts coming!

Ou god yes! I needed that spacer thing! Been using standard lumber peaces but that design is far superior.

Yes, that really is what it is all about
