TIMESTAMPS:
0:18 Jerk Chicken in Jamaica
1:14 Churros in Spain
2:24 Currywurst in Germany
3:23 Calzone in Italy
4:31 Baklava in Turkey
5:28 Gyros in Greece
6:26 Poutine in Canada
7:38 Arepas in Colombia
8:51 Pommes Frites in Belgium
10:24 Hot Dog in the United States

SUMMARIES:
- The next time you’re in Jamaica, don’t spend your entire vacation drinking your troubles away at your all-inclusive resort. Granted, that does sound amazing, but you’ll be missing out on a fantastic cultural – and culinary – experience.
- Sure, churros are a street food staple, but the ones you can buy on the streets of America don’t hold a candle to the ones you can get in Spain. If you’ve never had the pleasure of eating a churro before.
- If there’s one food Germany is famous for, it’s probably sausage, so it’s no surprise that that’s what the country is making this list for. Currywurst is prepared with pork sausages.
- This food item originated in Naples, which also happens to be the birthplace of everyone’s favorite meal: the thin-crust pizza. This fact is no coincidence, since calzones are, in theory.
- If you find yourself in Turkey, don’t miss out on baklava. Find yourself a street vendor and give yourself the sugar rush of a lifetime. If you’ve never had baklava before, you’re in for a real treat here.
- Gyros can be found in food courts everywhere, but you don’t know what you’re missing until you’ve tried the real thing. And that’s saying a lot, because the American gyro tastes pretty incredible.
- Nothing quite beats a hot poutine at three in the morning after a night out on Montreal’s St. Laurent Boulevard. While it can be found all over Canada, it’s safe to say that the province of Quebec is the place to be if you’re craving a poutine.
- In Columbia, it’s acceptable to enjoy arepas no matter the time of day. Made of ground maize dough, arepas are flat, round breads that can be served with a variety of different toppings, including meat, cheese and avocado.
- Even though it’s what it sounds like, pommes frites are not fried apples (although that actually doesn’t sound horrible). No, pommes frites are in fact french fries. But they’re not just any french fries.
- How could we go an entire video about street food without mentioning the American hotdog? Every movie or television show set in New York City will show one of the characters buying a hot dog from a street vendor at some point.

It's ironic that since I've lived in Canada my entire life, ive kinda taken poutine for granted and forget it's a Canadian thing.

Gyros is actually known as Doner Kebab all over the world. You’ll see that both Doner and Baklava are Ottoman dishes if you check it out.

I prefer Peruvian Food by a long shot. Peruvian Food although very underrated, is very delicious, literally everyone loves Chinese, Japanese, Italian, and French. And all those countries visited Peru and created fusion cuisine, creating legendary dishes like arroz chaufa, Chifa (Chinese fusion), Nikkei Cuisine (Japanese fusion), Green Spaghetti (italian fusion). By fusions, I mean the food has been influenced by other nations dish types, but the dish itself is still Peruvian. Peru has the sea coast, Great for seafood. They have the Andes, home to The Legendary Inca Empire, who domesticated Potatoes, Corn, and other Andean Domesticated Foods. And also the Rainforest, home to exotic Peruvian foods, whether it’s bugs or big Amazonian fishes. I recommend you look it up, but trust me, Peruvian by a long shot. Comparing it to Mexican, Peru has more variety, they have good resources for food, they have a lower obesity rate, and it’s a lot. I’m starting to believe Mexican food is only popular because of cough can big ol USA standing next to it like a big fusion brother. Saying Mexican ceviche is better than Peruvian ceviche is like saying American tacos are better than Mexican tacos, sorry. Peru’s so diverse in its food, and it deserves to be well known way more, Mexico’s taking all the attention because of the United state’s is next to it, now don’t get me wrong Mexican food is good, but it’s not life changing/exciting/as interesting, meanwhile Peru is extremely underrated, and is just a country in South America, and South America is frequently ignored, so if Peru was actually popular, I’d get the feeling it’ll be much more well known and liked than Mexican, also Peru’s just life man.

So are American Hotdogs the same as English or Australian sausage? I thought franks/hotdogs were always boiled or steamed and that is what you'll find in New York. Or do you BBQ your Frankfurters too.... I'm confused.
