Our labrador walks himself - he loves carrying his own lead - but if another dog grabs the lead he'll happily let them take him for a walk lol

We rescued a senior goldador in February. He has changed my life and pulled me out of some dark places mentally. He gets me out walking in nature and is so affectionate. Could not praise the breed enough.

And the Greyhound has such an amazingly soft coat. Love that breed.

We rescued a little whippet cross puppy last week as our very first dog and I’ve just found him so chilled compared to other puppies I’ve met! Sighthounds just seem to be so calm generally. Lovely breeds.

I’ve had 2 retired racing greyhounds and they were so laid back and easy trained. I’m on the waiting list of an English Mastiff breeder now

Love the contents as always. My first dog was a border collie. He was very chill. I have a staffy gsd female and a purebred Rottweiler male right now. The Germans are my heart but you need experience with them. I’ve had 3 German Shepherds and 2 Rottweilers. They are work!!

Thank you for advocating for greyhounds as first time pets! They are so sweet, so gentle, and amazing dogs! My first greyhound went to the bridge in 2020 and heart still hasn't recovered. He was such a special doggo! My next dog will definitely be another greyhound when I'm ready for another one! <3

Spot on, before we got our dog we wrote a list of requirements from each of the family and then discussed what we each would do, we didn’t get the breed any one of us would have chosen form looks but the best fit for us, ❤️ Loving our lab cross

Back when I worked as a cleaning lady one of our customers had two bull terriers. Absolute sweethearts, and very keen to "help" while we were cleaning the house. The owners eventually had to put them in the office while we were working, partly so we wouldn't get distracted by how cute they were, partly because the doggos were "helping" by grabbing the cleaning rags for us and we didn't want them accidentally ingest soap water.

We had a wippet for 15 years. He was a sweetie and a great little heater. ❤

My first dog was, stupidly, a working line German shepherd. It was an absolute baptism of fire and like learning to drive in a Ferrari! It wasn’t an easy journey and we learned everything together as we went with many blunders. But we put in the hours with training and there is no one I would have rather learned the ropes with. I lost her at the beginning of this year to discospondylitis and I feel her absence in every waking moment. She was so exuberant and driven and lively. My house feels so empty without her. What an amazing dog❤

I never had a dog, until my daughter decided to get one when she started medical school. But soon, she figured it was not easy to take care of the dog while in medical school. So, I ended up with a most beautiful dog called Bellissima. But may be that's just my perception. There is a picture of her on my Channel.

With the first light of the day, I could hear her shaking herself, and waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs to celebrate the arrival of the new day. Just seeing her expressive eyes, and her long ears moving side to side, warms my heart. She is not only beautiful, but also very intelligent. She knows when I put down my reading glasses and pick up my regular eye glasses, it is time for a walk!

Well I have my heart set on getting a Rottweiler as my first dog. I've done extensive research and I plan on raising it as a puppy. I have a strong personality and I am calm and assertive. I have a high degree of confidence. I know that Rottweilers need socializing which I have plans for exposing it to other people, animals and situations and I plan on letting it run on leash while I ride a bike and plan on training it.
I have a disability so I definitely have the time to put in the work.

Cavalier king charles spaniels have a very serious health issue due to selective breeding for the apple head look. 70% will show have brains too big for their skulls. This condition is very painful & may not become apparent until the dog is older than 2.5 years. Unless it is successfully treated (which is not easy), the condition can cause lifelong severe pain. Although adorable with fun personalities they are a breed I would want to not be continued to be bred nor promoted.

Love the video. About time you put staffys in a list. Love to see a video about bull Arabs. Commonly seen here in Australia as hunting dogs but I have a 20 week old puppy and he loves nothing more than a cuddle.
