Helene, which has weakened to a tropical storm, made landfall in the Big Bend region of Florida on Thursday with 140 mph winds, bringing torrential rainfall to swaths of the Southeast.

The state is not asking people to literally take their things and move out of the state permanently. They are just asking that you go out of the state for 2 to 3 days almost like a vacation and then come back when the storm is over. stop staying in the area only to lose your house or worse your life.
