Russia and Ukraine war was one of Russia's mistake... Now it's economy is fully drowned... And then military of Russia has to pay this, but they had listen Putin order. It's fully a dictatorship where a person want to grow his image & capabilities, Russia has to pay for broking Humanity indeed for thier dreams too...

A few inaccuracies / misses here, the territory of Moldova changed hands a few times in the 19th ct between Russia, the Ottoman Empire and Romania as Besarabia (named after King Besarab, nothing to do with Arabs). After WWII (so 1945 not 1940) Romania was forced to cede it to the Soviet Union (along with Northern Bukovina which is now part of Ukraine). Since it forms the Eastern half of the historical Kingdom of Moldavia, Stalin added a strip of land along the Dniester to prevent any future attempt at reunification. Hence the name "Transnistria". For this purpose, former Red Army soldiers were settled there, turning it into a Russian enclave. Alexander Lebed, the most powerful man in post-Soviet Russia after Putin, played a key role in establishing Transnistria as an independent state recognized only by Russia (he died in a helicopter crash in 2002, the first of many of Putin's competitors "accidents"). It is of crucial importance for Russian strategy and could trigger direct NATO involvement in the Ukraine War if Romania responds to Moldova's plea for military assistance (Romania is part of NATO). Also one-third of Moldovans have Romanian citizenship.

I'm curious to see what will happen to that garrison with Russia severely having been weakened by the Ukrainian war.
We now all know Russian forces are an organized rabble, not the superpower we thought they were.
The 'fear' of this garrison has no doubt diminished, especially with a militarily powerful Ukraine next door which also would want those Russian forces removed from their back door.

There won't be "another front" in Transnistria. Russia doesnt have enough strenght to push through eats of Ukraine, Donbass region, so pushing throught Transnistria is even more impossible. And capturing Odessa without Kherson is also impossible.

1500 men? Russia cannot reinforce them through the UKR air defense grid. I don't see why Moldova can't put together a 5000 man strong force of professionals and knock out that garrison 3:1.
