Показать описание
Fatty Liver disease is becoming more common in the U.S. as rates of obesity, diabetes and metabolic disease increase. As Na Li, MD, PhD, a gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Ohio State explains, Fatty Liver disease is often asymptomatic and diagnosis is made following an abnormal blood test or is an incidental finding following an ultrasound, MRI or CAT scan for another medical condition. Although there are no medications for Fatty Liver Disease, treatment includes diet changes and exercise. Dr. Li emphasizes the importance of patient education and the team approach used at Ohio State to treat not only the Fatty Liver disease, but the other health issues a patient might face.
