It's also important to remember the definitions of what the church is and the function of liturgical worship, a lot of people can get really silly and loose with their definitions.

We should be loving and kind yes, but adhering to people's feelings is not the main goal. No matter what you do there will be people who think it is wrong. Jesus flipped tables, Paul wrote strongly worded letters, Moses got mad at the Israelites for making an idol. They weren't afraid to upset people because their focus was on being pleasing to God.

It’s absolutely insane how many people nowadays think: “I don’t need church.” I’m actually arguing with someone multiple times now who just doesn’t care to go to church and he was in seminary.

Usually, not always but usually people that think this way have been hurt, offended in or by someone or a group from a Church they have previously gone too in the past, or frustrationation at poor leadership. Prayer, patience and wise words from Gods word are definitely needed in these cases like some Red Pen Logic👍

We need to back up a verse or two to where Jesus said in Matthew 16:15, "Who do you say I am?" and Peter responded with, "You are the Christ (Messiah) the Son of the living God.". And that's what Jesus was referring to when He said, "Upon this rock I will build my church.". We have our relationship with God the Father and the foundation of the Body of Christ (Church) based on this principle of Jesus being the Son of God.

Once again you have an excellent response to those who have been led astray after having their ears tickled. NIV 2nd Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
