Shoulder flexion occurs at the glenohumeral joint, where the scapula & humerus articulate forming a ball and socket joint.

Shoulder flexion is where the angle of the shoulder joint decreases and the arm raises towards the sky, typically around 160 degrees across the sagittal plane.

The agonistic muscle which enable shoulder flexion include the deltoids, biceps brachii & pectoralis major
