What is H.264 / H.265?

We get asked a lot of tech questions related to CCTV security surveillance and when we can we like to take the time to throw together a quick feature on some of these topics. One of those topics is the Difference between H264 and H265.

Hey there new to this game and just purchased an Annke PoE 8 port pvr h2.65 upgrading from my Anke 4 port h2.64 Poe pvr... and I can’t get the old camera that are h2.64 to register or detect on the 8 port Poe h2.65 pvr ? Can h2.65 pvr supportvH2.64 cameras all Anke brand ... must also point out very poor support from Anke website when asking the same question hence trying this site to try and get some clarity .. your help would be greatly appreciated

Hi 😊 sorry for the trouble I saw your video.
I noticed that with Compressor exporting to H.265, my Mac Mini M1 heats up more than H264. it's normal? So exporting large files to H265 leads to more intensive use of the PC causing it to wear out sooner? thank you very much 😎
