ProRes made my 4 minute 1.5gb video into a 16gb file💀

I wanted to upload a 12' video on YouTube today, the prores version is 80Gb and the H.264 version is only 6, 5 Gb, so naturally I worried about quality loss, but your video gave me peace of mind, thanks for that ❤

So I should record and edit on ProRes and export on 2.64?

In short:
ProRes have higher video and editing quality but is a pain in the ass to manage and to export due to the amount of information stored in the video.

H.264 have mediocre video quality compared to ProRes, but really it's all you need most of the times. It's easy to manage and export
