I use h.264 because h.265 loads almost ten times slower with my video editor. It takes more space, but I save lots of time. But you can use 265 with powerful computer.

Big brother and little brother analogy is very misleading here. "Big brother" usually refers to the more capable product/technology and it has nothing to do with its age.
If you want to express age, just use "younger" and "older".
So if H.265 requires more computing power, but it's a more capable technology, then it's the big brother, although it's a younger technology.
