@TMS Media: correction, H.264 can support 10 bit
Color depth but most 10 bit sources that shoot 10 bit 4:2:2 are h.265 so the files aren't massive

Wow! I finally found the one person in the world that says H-point-264 and H-point-265 instead of H-dot-264 and H-dot-265. Do I win some sort of prize?

Is the h265 editing problem overcome by using proxies in a different codec?

H264 is full capable for 4:2:2 10Bit also 4:4:4 is possible in 12Bit

This is a pretty bad explanation:
-The Box should be the container not the codec
-The word "capability" is not appropriate (because it's about data or information vs file-size)
-He is saying that h265 has less banding😂 (thats funny because with h265 it can be that 64x64 pixel blocks with the exact same values are stored on the date-drive directly from camera)
-Why should h264 not support 10bit🤔🤦‍♂️😂
