Yeah, volume used to be a real problem for me. I mean, in general, no matter which language I spoke because I’d been taught as a kid never speak loudly. Later on, in many social situations, people just couldn’t hear me. It was so freaking embarrassing when, for instance, a clerk at a grocery store kept saying “I didn’t catch any of that”, “Could you repeat it one more time”, etc. And commuting across the town on a bus used to be a sort of nightmare because in the town I live busses don’t stop at bus stops unless you tell a driver to. And it’s pretty noisy inside because the engine is growling, the passengers are talking to each other and on their mobiles, and the driver is listening to the radio (and speaking on his phone at the same time)... And you need somehow to catch driver’s attention and explain him where exactly you need to get off. Quite a job! So, yes, the volume issue would cause me tons of problems and embarrassment. But, as one of vlogers says, everything is figureoutable. It turned out that there are lots of techniques and exercises originally designed for actors to improve quality and volume of their voices. Just type a phrase “voice training” on a search engine. I also came across a helpful book titled “The use and training of human voice”. When you are doing those exercises, it looks crazy (and it sounds even worse, I believe), but the result is worth it. If you practice every day, in half a year you’ll be able to speak 2 – 3 times louder without tensing up or switching to scream. It feels like your voice wakes up and a higher volume becomes natural.

Yes, Americans are loud and some are hyper exaggerate. I see it as a positive because it stress confidence and boost self esteem, BUT sometimes it looks like being intrusive and kind of rude

American English sounds like singing loud and with rhythm.
I try to emitate the rhythmical sound.
