„I need to stretch more“ NO, you need to strengthen your muscles, tendons and ligaments in the full range of motion. Don’t just stretch. Why is it important? Because a) you can’t catch yourself when falling in a save way, when your joints are not strong in every possible position, and b) you will develop imbalances if your hip flexors or glutes for example are weak. This can actually cause back and hip pain, and c) if you want to get stronger and build muscle you should use the full range of motion of your joints.

So what’s the difference between flexibility and mobility/strength?

I give you some example movements that hit the same area for strength and flexibility…

Flexibility: Butterfly Stretch

Strength: Straddle Ups
Flexibility: Pancake Stretch

Strength: Deep Lunge

Question! When do you think is the best time to incorporate mobilities like these? Pre-gym, post-gym, mid-workout or on rest days? I need to start incorporating more mobilities and I never know when to. (New follower here, 👋Hi!)

I need advice so I stopped working out & I want to get back into working out but first I want to focus on flexibility & strength stretches do i focus on one or both if so which one ! This would help a lot ! Pls & thank you

Make sure not to put your knee over your toe in a lunge. To do it properly and to not hurt yourself, your knee and heel should be parallel.
