I have been pulling every nickel and pre 82 penny that I come across. It is a zero risk hold. Only downside would be the space that they take up.

Well, you opened my eyes. Why did I not know this about foreign coins before. Everyone talks about staying away from foreign coins. Why? Because their silver coins are only 80% or less. That's all I hear about foreign coins before this video. Thank you EF

I'm actually been keeping all of my copper cents when they were 1.5 cents each, now it's almost 4 cents, so I believe the same will happen with nickels, it's already over 8 cents just in melt value for each Jefferson Nickel

I personally think the fact that nickels are an alloy is a benefit, there is also a cost to combining 2 metals to make an alloy. From an industrial use point of view the 75% copper 25% nickel makes more sense than pure nickel.

I've been doing the same with nickel. Casually setting aside all canadian coins and french coins. I don't have much (you have way more than me), but I'm right there with you!! We are few... but I kinda think we're on to something special

Another excellent video. l myself don't have a lot of money in U.S. coins so I'll just keep them since we know already this is the last year they will make the US penny and when the public realize they're not being produced anymore they will quickly take them out of circulation and I believe the other coins will follow shortly because the government won't mint coins for long with a greater melt value than face value. It would also be a great excuse for them to implement a total digital currency, something they've been wanting to do for a long time anyway.

Have 30 boxes of nickels stored up and almost to 150$ worth of copper pennies. Plus 500 Oz lf silver and of course stocks in commodities as well.

I've always saves any copper and Nicole from change I got back for change not much but I do have ...but now I know about the Canadian I guess IL stop discarding it and start saving thanks for the info

interesting point! I have 200 rolls of nickels that I'm proud of and I just started collecting them this year. The banks are reluctant to giving me nickel when I ask so because of all the effort I put into obtaining them, I'll just keep them as emergency cash.
