I've got the original Ioniq, and it's a great car, but they've progressed so quickly. Amazing thing.

I have a 2024 Ioniq 5 and am waiting for the delivery of a 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance.

Tesla and Hyundai (and Kia) are leading the way in the electric vehicle era.

Personally, I hope that under the leadership of these two companies, manufacturers from countries like Germany, Japan, and China will rapidly develop, enabling more people to purchase electric vehicles at prices comparable to conventional internal combustion vehicles.

While driving an electric vehicle certainly saves on fuel costs, the high price of the car and increased insurance premiums offset the savings from fuel.

‘That’s a lot of money for the car’ - there, fixed that for you!

It sacrifices so much rear cargo space in the boot due to the sloping roofline. You can put the rear seats down but that’s not convenient.

The LCD dash looks like two old style tablets stuck on side by side

I would wait a few years before buying one to let the dealer network come up to speed on maintaining them.

I’ve had my two month old ioniq in at a dealer for a warranty issue for almost a month now with still no sign of getting it back anytime soon.

I expressed concern to Hyundai head office before dropping it off about the dealers ability to fix it and they told me that they were a blue star highly trained EV dealer.

Shame because the car seemed pretty good but if it’s a month plus whenever something goes wrong why would you buy it?

Ben, would you pick an awd ultimate or a Mustang Mach e select tech pack? I know the ioniq is faster but the Mustang took to twisty b roads better. I can’t make my mind up!
