It's more so seeing hurt animals that deterred me. I don't do well with blood. I appreciate the kind vets like yourself though!

I want to be a vet too!!! I appreciate all they have done to my rabbit that suffers from the condition ‘bumble foot’ also known as sore hocks. Which led to a lot of bleeding and unexpected injuries as his foot is really sensitive.

I wanted to be a vet when I was younger, and i love zoology so much, but… the student loans, having to finance my own education, the long hours and heavy workload PLUS all the required classes to even get into a veterinary college (which was at least 2 hours away from my loved ones, who I already barely see due to the pandemic)… could I probably do it? Oh sure, I’m resilient. Would it be fucking hell? Absolutely.
I’m still coming to terms with it. That this maybe isn’t for me. I’m keeping my options open, don’t get me wrong, but now is not the time to be a vet and I’m falling more and more in love with my current career (art and film) by the second. It’d let me be closer to the people I care about, especially my partner, who I haven’t been able to see in person since 2018. They… they’re the primary reason, but I’ve honestly had doubts since I was 14.

That's awesome. I really respect veterinarians. A vet saved my cat's life after he fought a dog and got a serious scar. Y'all are heroes.

Vets are absolutely superhuman, when I was young I always wanted to be a vet but because I don’t do well with stress I’ve opted more for animal recovery like hydro or physiotherapy so I can still help make a difference for them 🐕🐈🐇

i REALLY want to be a vet when i’m older, i’m 14 now. i love animals so much, and i’ve always dreamed of helping animals in need until recovery! the problem is, i’m not good with blood and organ-y stuff. i honestly don’t know how i will cope with doing surgeries. i’ll do the courses anyways and have the education, but if i start and realise it isn’t for me, i will most likely still do something involving animals! something maybe like an animal groomer, animal rescue shelter worker, etc!

I was planning on studying for vet assistant because since i was little i’ve always loved helping animals and had always watched videos on them, now i really wanted to study to be a vet assistant but saw the Salarys and it’s below what i am currently making which is 18.55$ an hr. So I decided to search up for vet tech and realized for everything they so they get payed 23$ an hr here in las Vegas. Sadly they pays are too low😔For the yr of study. It was something i really wanted to do. But anyways just wanted to say thankyou so much for helping these little guys❤️
