Apple should really bring the iPod back

I will always encourage people to get physical versions of everything they can. Always try to do that so that you can own the things that you buy.
For your setup in this video, get an external optical drive for your mac ( ASUS makes a lot of them ) for something like 30 bucks, and you can import/rip your CD directly from music/itunes, and also get the artwork and album info without much hassle.

Hi! Welcome to the IPod club, what you actually have is a 6.5 gen and not a 7th, the 6.5 came in 120GB whereas the 7th was 160GB only, The only downside really is you will be limited to 128GB when flashmodding.

Depending on your library, you can borrow lots of cds for free and rip them. I was checking mine and the selection was pretty decent

I had the same gap as you. After purchasing a 5.5 video off of eBay. I’ve slowly started a collection of nanos and classics by searching marketplace and offer up. It’s cool to have your classic for the house or trips but having a 2nd or 3rd gen nano or even a shuffle for work outs is so nice. the small storage options make me be a lot more selective of my playlist

You mentioned Walkman. I bounce between the ipod classic and an A45 walkman. I like the Sensme ability of the walkman. It creates playlists based on mood/tempo. Nice video!

Still using my good old ipod with ripped musics from the 2000s era 😂

Quick tips: upload only apple lossless format.
Do not install rockbox.
Upgrade your storage to SD card and add 3000mah battery and you are all set for 3-5 days of music without charging it

Thank you, for sharing this excellent overview of your use of a classic iPod 7th generation model. In 2014, I picked-up my first iPod a classic 5th generation model to use with my new Hyundai Sonata which, has been working great for the last 10-years. In addition, to having music CD's and downloaded iTunes music my iPod, it also has Podcast and classic radio dramas from the 1940's and 1950's which, are perfect for long airline flights (smile ... smile).

Apple doesn't support FLAC, but they use ALAC. You can just convert your FLAC files to ALAC.
iPod DAC isn't good, playing lossless is pointless unless you buy an external DAC for it.

fiz a mesma coisa por enquanto tem sido bem legal, abandonei o Spotify e o Apple Music, é legal aquela sensação de saber exatamente oque tem na sua biblioteca e escolher cada álbum

For me as a teen student what I do for music is using my I phone SE 3 only and have no data on my device and only calls and text feature. I delete all social media apps off of my phone and only have YouTube when near a Wi-Fi to used it. Then I turned off all notifications instead of weather alert in case of bad weather. I only have 64 gig of storage that is good enough for me using music wise. I just wish that apple will bring back the FM radio like the old I pod 6 generation nano that has it for local radio station music or over the air stations.

Thanks for including the background music links. Most people don't even bother.

Good video but I am really confused why you don't just rip music from CDs in iTunes and then they can sync up with you iPod when you plugged it in? This is exactly as it always has been with the iPod. You can specify what format and bit rate to rip music from CD in iTunes as well. Don't use windows media player and do all the dragging, etc.

I don't remember correctly because my 7th gen died, but if you press and hold either the center button or the play/pause. You can open an option to repeat songs or go to artist directly from the playback screen.
