I’ve come to find that usually the reason for these being so expensive is because they’re basically shelf decoration, they’re so over valued so that no one will buy them so they can continue to draw attention to the booth

It’s insane. If I would’ve known these would actually become that valuable, I would’ve kept them or taken them off peoples hands when they were giving them away in bulk. At least 4 of those comics I’ve had in my hand and said no to keeping.

I had the Giant Sized X-Men #1 when it came out. I was a kid though and would swap comics with friends all the time. Wish I still had it!

When I was a kid I’d love to look at the mile high ads. I knew the value in those old comics but didn’t have the cash to buy any of them. Like Amazing Spider-Man #1 mint condition was around 4K and so on. I tried to convince my parents to buy them for me but they just laughed.

Some of those prices are stupid. Just because of the CGC nonsense, they ask astronomical prices.

Every single one of these books are worth a 4th of what they’re asking for cause it’s “graded”
