Good to see the Undertaker getting work after the WWE

I believe that sometimes people bring items to Pawn Stars not to actually sell, but to get them and their item on TV and hope it'll raise the value and awareness more. This guy with his comic book is the perfect example.

Guy: collects Batman stuff and is fan
Cory: So let me tell you about Batman

I don't think this guy had any intentions of selling. Pawn Stars is a show. He was simply entertaining.

As others have said, no self-respecting comic book collector would sell THIS comic to any pawn shop. No way, no how.

That expert was the scariest comic book nerd ever lol

Corey here looks and sounds 30 years older than Rick right when the show first aired.

He's clearly advertising that comic and had no attention of selling it to a pawn shop. He said he's willing to sell it for $250, 000 because that's the starting bid. He knows people will reach out to him and the highest bid will win. This is actually a good idea since auctions take a percentage from your winning item. Doing it like this, you keep all the money.

This isn't a comic book; it's solid gold.

"Can we have an expert come in and look at it?"
"Sure"

Steve asking the seller what he's asking for it prior to his assessment was inappropriate. This makes it seem that the book was never meant to be sold on the show and this was just content.

Dude got a nice piece of history. He should get his money back and then some. Was fun to watch. Great video

Bummer when the comic world knows what you paid for it. That expert knows his dish.

Quite frankly, I believe this is one of those cases where either the seller just wanted to show off, or the producers of the show asked him to come in and show it off. The interaction just feels too simple after the valuation.
"It's too expensive for me"
"K, tx, bye."

Corey: “You just brought me the holy grail of comic books and I’m almost speechless”, yet he’s already wearing gloves so he can handle the comic book.
