In, this video, I would like to do exactly what the title says. I would like all of you to choose my next card. Either will work for my situation, its just that one card will work better than then other one. It is truly a difficult decision for me and my wife to make. Should I venture into the Chase ecosystem or should I expand on my Amex basis? I will have a poll in the video and on my community tab of my channel. Make sure that you answer at lest one poll. Also comment down below and let me know why I should get a certain card. I don’t think that there is a video out there that will let the viewer choose their next card. Make sure you hit the like button on this video and subscribe if you support the channel.

Which card should I choose? Let me know your opinion on the cards. Also make sure you answer the poll in the video.

Also, unless you plan on traveling often the AMEX Platinum may not be worth it. All those perks mean nothing if you not using them often. I have both.

You should chose the Chase Sapphire Reserve just because of Chase's 5/24 rule. They both have really good perks and benefits but AMEX does not have 5/24. You don't want to put yourself in a position where you can't get the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

I would get the Chase Ink Preferred, for the 80k UR points signup bonus. Because its a business card, you wont take up one of your 5/24 slots. Then you can get the sapphire reserve after... Other option is to get all three of the Ink cards first, collect those bonuses while under 5/24 then get the Sapphire reserve.

That would be 4 ultimate rewards bonuses that you wont be able to get once you have had 5 applications in the last 24 months.

I think Chase because it’s more worldwide than American Express

As much as I love AMEX, the CSR is a travel and PLAT is more of a perks card...in my opinion of course

You should choose the CSR if you’re still under 5/24. There’s no reason you shouldn’t be earning both MR and UR points to round out your travel points system. I actually just got the CIP because it makes more sense for me. I use my gold card a lot so I’d rather earn points in other categories over dining. If you go with the CSR and don’t like it after the first year you can always downgrade it to a no annual fee card. Can’t do that with Amex

I would go with CSR because of 5/24. You can always get the Platinum later.

I have Chase Sapphire Reserve. Had it for 45 days, just about to meet spend. The $300 travel credit came in handy when I rented a car for Thanksgiving and prepaid for it. It automatically hit my acct with no issue.

I like CSR, its accepted everywhere BUT I want that Amex Plat. I will be applying for it next yr after I try for Chase Ink Pref.

The sapphire makes more sense to me, because of you look at it this way couldn’t you use the travel credit to book a hotel night or at least 2 hotels nights. Plus I believe the sapphire will be used a lot more frequently since they do give you 3x on dining and travel which their travel category is pretty big.

I don’t really fly so having an airline credit would be useless to me. Having an uber credit would also not benefit me in any way as I would be looking for ways to justify spending the uber credit so it wouldn’t be waste. Basically you would be spending money on top just to get $15 off uber.
I don’t shop at Saks so another things that wouldn’t benefit me. And at times booking hotels directly trough a websites doesn’t gives you the best deals. So you’re spending more to get more points which doesn’t make sense to me.

So being that I don’t fly the sapphire makes more sense to me since one of their partners is Hyatt and I heard it’s ones of the best ones to transfers you’re points to. To get the best value.

I honestly think I would go with the sapphire reserve cuz that 300 travel credit is pretty use to use from what I heard from people and other you tubers and it’s a visa so it’s accepted everywhere

I just got the CSR and so far so good. I have already received the travel credit...split between 2-flights and an overnight car park n ride. The credit showed up within 48-hours.

Amex gold and CSR think about those multipliers. Use chase for 3x flights and gold for 4x dining and groceries. Easier to use credits with chase. 3rd card is Amex blue business for 2x on everything else. Use chase where Amex isn’t accepted. I think those three are great

Great video. Go with the Chase sapphire reserve of you are a person who travels a lot.

I am in the same dilemma I don’t know which one but leaning to chase

Chase first, Amex after you get the signup on the CSR. I have both (actually three since I have the Schwab Platinum as well) and the CSR is a lot more versatile. As of Jan. 1 2020 the travel delay/cancellations will be nearly identical with both the Platinum and CSR. Depending on where your home airport is, and if you can regularly use Centurion lounges vs Priority pass restaurants (Amex lost this perk) one is better than the other. If I only could keep 1 I would choose the CSR. I was going to cancel my Platinum cards but they offered me 35k retention bonuses on each card so I will keep another year then re-evaluate.

Tbh I have the CSR it's a good card. But the only reason I have it it's because my wife has the platinum. The Amex platinum is more like a show pony. It's great to have but when people see it they look at you different. There's really no kids section in the centurion lounges. Because they weren't made for families. But there are quiet rooms people can go into if they want to get away from the noise. I say Amex platinum all the way. Good luck

The AMEX platinum doesn't offer as much travel protection as the reserve and you have a kid what happens if they get sick before a vacation. AMEX platinum doesn't offer these benefits or lost luggage. You also get medical coverage with the reserve and primary rental car insurance. Platinum is second. You could get targeted for the 100k Amex points on the platinum. But the 300 dollar travel credit is easier to use on the reserve than the Platinum card.
Check out link below for side by side comparison of the cards. Also Visa is excepted in more places overseas.

You're better off getting the CSR. If you go over 5/24 then you'll lock yourself out. Amex Platinum will be there anytime you want to apply for it. Amex isn't as strict on applications.

Chase now and Amex later. Can always get the plat but CSR is 5/24 and is stricter to get
