The EASY Way To Get Business Credit Cards (Full Guide)

In this video we are looking at business credit cards and how to get approved for business credit cards because this is a topic that a lot of people want to know more about. I personally have been using several of the best business credit credit cards for my own business over the past couple of years, and each business credit card has helped me in so many ways! These credit cards have given me things like huge sign up bonuses, better cash flow management, higher business credit limits, and much more.

Many people don’t realize that they can actually qualify for business credit cards by being a sole proprietorship as they provide products or services through a side hustle of some kind. This is the most common business structure and it’s something that can help you get approved for business credit cards with just your social security number. If you want to take it a step further by having an LLC like me or a corporation, you can also apply that way by using an employer identification number.

This video is meant to be a free guide on how to get business credit cards by not only telling you what the best business credit cards are and what benefits they give you, but also this video will show you how to fill out a business credit card application step by step. We’ll go through a live application as both a sole proprietorship and as an LLC to show you how anyone can get approved for a credit card for your small business. I’m also going to answer some common question that I get asked a lot like “can I put personal expenses on a business credit card” and “what should I do if I get denied for a business credit card.”

Hopefully this video will be useful and give some good insight into my own experience with business credit cards that I have in my wallet like the Chase Ink Cash, Chase Ink Unlimited, and Amex Blue Business Plus. I think they are great tools for both small business owners and even everyday people with a common side hustle!

Who can name the 3 movie/song references I made when filling out the business credit card application? I guess I think that I’m funny 😂

I applied for my first ever business card today (Amex Marriott). Took your advice, followed your suggestions and was approved with a nice $25k credit line. Thanks for the info buddy!

I never realized what I was missing until I applied for my first business credit card. In my opinion, this is really the cheat code to getting upsized value from the credit card game. As long as you can meet the (usually) higher amount of spend required to hit the welcome bonuses on these cards, the rewards you get for doing so is pretty insane. This was a really comprehensive guide that'll help a ton of people out, so great work on it as always man!

I get the sense WAY more people can apply for business cards than they think can. It’s really not as exclusive as people think. My wife got approved as a sole prop with zero years in business and zero income.

And business cards have HUGE value. Great video Daniel!

Believe it or not, I was afraid to apply for a business credit card a few years ago. I remember when you applied for one of the Chase Ink business cards a few years ago (was it the Ink Unlimited? I can't remember which one 😂. Fast forward to the end of 2022, I applied for my first business credit card with Amex and was approved for the BBP! Then a few months later, I went with the Chase Ink Cash and was approved again. I definitely value not having my business credit card balances reported to my credit report. It helped me to finance a new Mac Studio, that I have the cash to pay in full, but with interest rates well over 4% APY, i'm holding onto that cash during the 0% intro APR period.

Great video! HOWEVER: putting 10k as your stated annual income on the application is a great way of ensuring you get the smallest limit possible 😂😂

Chase is very liberal on business credit in my experience and nice bonuses.

Business Credit Cards are soooo huge that can basically take the rewards you already getting from personal Cards and then really opening the floodgates to the amount of rewards you can get from business Credit and the flexible points currencies that come from that. Just got my first card- Hilton Honors Business and excited to get some others like the AMEX BBP as well. Great point though in that business Cards are so much more accessible than most people think. Great video Daniel!

Chase's business credit card terms and condition specifically say that it should be used for business purchases

I payed for a semester of classes on a business card as a sole prop and instantly cleared the signup bonus. As covid happened I forgot about the card and it closed out over inactivity once I was ready to actually use it for its intended purpose.

Great video! Loving my BBP right now and I’m hoping that as my business grows I’ll be able to take advantage of some of the higher SUB that some of the chase cards have. Can’t quite hit those spending requirements right now so not worth adding them to my wallet.

Thanks for this. It only took 5-7 mins with credit karma, might help that I have 2 personal AMEX cards already.

Great video on this subject! My Capital One Spark does *not* report to my personal credit btw. But I believe the product that I have is not offered anymore. I did read on MyFico board that they report to personal credit these days, and only that disqualifies Capital1 in my eyes for any new business card in the future.
