Mark, you are amazing. Thank you for providing so many free resources for people who are in need of neutral advice.

Oh so true. Like a tornado.. it leaves a trail of damage and it needs to get cleaned up and that can take some time. Days, weeks, months. It all depends on how deep the cut to the heart was. We reap what we sow.

Meltdowns happen when autistic people feel completely overwhelmed, lose control of their behavior, and find it very hard to calm themselves. Meltdowns have 6 phases:
1. Calm
2. Triggers
3. Agitation
4. Meltdowns
5. Re-Grouping
6. Starting Over
But there is a phase 7...
7. The rest of the family has to “re-group” too

Oh my goodness. This is spot on. It is so emotionally draining. My son, has reflected back, though, and has sincerely apologized for some of his worst meltdowns. He is genuinely trying to recognize his triggers and manage his emotions.

"It's always easy to feel guilty after you've done something but why do we not feel guilty before"

To me and many others we know emotion is temporary all emotions are temporary so don't let a temporary emotion cause permanent desicion /damage

If so work on it do t chalk it up as "that's how I am" easy to use cleshea sayings to back up actions but you must think outside the box aka don't second guess yourself !

It's easy to be under the influence of a thought more than reality 💯 👌 😌 ✨️
