I have a Charge 5, it's probably a later build with the firmware update, it doesn't have LFM, but I found a solution where I can listen to my downloaded music at high volumes with good bass response... First I install the JBL Portable App and turn the bass up to the max, but leave the other 2 at medium.. Then I simply reformat my music with 200% volume using Format Factory... Now I listen to my reformatted music at 50% volume on my charge 5, the highs sound just as loud as if it were playing the unformatted music at 100%% volume, but the bass is still there, it doesn't drop off because at 50% volume, I haven't passed the threshold where the jbl firmware automatically prevents bass from increasing as the volume is increased.. It bumps like crazy, crystal clear sound, with very good bass..❤❤❤

Don't play your jbl's in low frequency mode cause even if its the original speaker, it can't handle its own power and boom ✨

It is not a lfm it is a debug mode and it can damage the speaker.

Other replied that for the low frequency I had to go into the bluetooth settings and switch from stereo to mono, but it didn't work.

That mode you're using is a debug mode made for JBL to diagnose any issues with it. Listening to music with debug mode active can potentially cause damage

weird.. why my charge 5 did not active di low frequency? because newer firmware? is there any different when i just set EQ the Low Freq to upper gain than bass mode?

Hello there, I just bought the JBL Charge 5 and hear the bass is too strong. I use it with PC (Windows). Is it possible to change (lower the bass) it? 🤫 I do not plan to use it with phone. I see people using the equalizer on the phone, would it change the sound on PC if I changed it in the app? 🙂 (It is funny how you HAVE to have a phone even if you do not want to use it with it, I did not know it before buying) Thank you for the help. 😉
