Thank you! This is helpful as you have a way of doing this that is different from my usual method. This seems better and I will give it a try.

Great lesson! I particularly enjoy your guitar/cello duets. I understand that your former cello partner has moved away, but would love to hear any additional guitar/cello duets that you might be able to do in the future (it's hard to find good duets of this type). I also like your performances of traditional music arranged for the guitar.

i am apprenticing with a luthier, and i notice that the string slots on the nut for some of the strings are pretty deep. i feel that you should get the sides of the bone on the nut reduced to half the height of the strings otherwise it could mute the sound a little.. or maybe the nut was designed for a different gauge string :)

Thank you for your videos, Rosalind. It'd be cool if you could make a tutorial on nail shapes, length and filing.

Happy New Year to you both! I see now why my strings often slip a little - I "invented" my own knots.... I'll do it again your way - thank you!. One idea for future tutorials are the various techniques which I learned in Spanish and don't know what they are in English, they include ligados, arrastre, mordentes, cejilla and tremolo which I think you used in one of your Christmas songs?

Hello, do you have a string brand preference over any others and what's your choice of tension? Your arrangements of the Yann Tierson pieces are the best on YouTube in my opinion. I've become very interested In how you position your fingers and hands to get the clarity of each note to come through. Thankyou for your videos

What happened to the cello player from some of your earlier videos (I don't know her name). Any plans to do more videos with her?

Thank you for this wonderful video. I do have a question tho, How do you ready your new strings for playing? Nylon strings stretch and normally it takes me several days if not a week to be able to play once I install new strings. Thank you so much. You play beautifully. Thank so much.

Hello, thanks for your tutorial. Am I right that you start winding the treble strings (at the bridge) in the direction of the bass strings and the bass strings in the direction of treble strings? Because you say: "With the bass strings you start in the same way but you don't have to do the loop thing.Just pull it under and stick it through." But when a watch it you start in the opposite direction, am I right?

Thanks for your answer and best regards.

Can be quite a pernickety business changing a string.

Do you only replace one string at a time? Is it ok to remove all the strings and then restring each one?

And at 6.38 min the flex part of the E string is intended to go in the pegs ... no need to cut that bit off.
