As a classical guitar student, I'm more used to the classical sound. But god, I love the flamenco sound so much, hope I could buy one someday, it's hard because of exports limitations.

I love them both. The warmth and richness of the classical, and the quickness and projection of the flamenco.

Some difference between the classical and flamenco is for one, size. Classical is wider from base to base, giving it more room to reach deeper frequencies. But with the larger width you'll find that the guitar will be quieter than a flamenco, also, because of the size of the flamenco youll be able to hear the atring much more individually than the classical guitar. Classical will tend to blend the sounds, guving it a warmer tone. Another difference is the string height. Flanco guitar's strings are significantly lower than classical.

The classical has more richness and depth of sound. More low end, fuller mids...however the flamenco has the grown, cuts the mix more, and that's how it was designed

Both are beautifully played by an awesome musician. The piece that was played sounds a bit nicer on a classical guitar. This is perhaps why the musicians and luthiers devised a Flamenco guitar (for non-classical pieces) that help in the staccato of some flamenco moves. Thanks for showing us the two guitars.

It’s not about being better but about the tone and feeling it conveys. In that particular song, the Flamenco guitar adds a warmer and more expressive touch.

Years ago, I would’ve immediately gravitated towards anything that sounded deeper.

I definitely prefer the sound of the flamenco guitar now.

Absolutely beautiful.... I was surprised because the Classical sounded a little brighter and I always thought a Flamenco ( especially a Spruce Top) would be more brighter and more treble - like., ....

What’s the name of your 2 guitars? Please the brown one I want to know!!!

The brown one sounds less good on a technical level to me but hits me deep like I could get goosebumps from it. It’s just so strong and powerful like a whiplash wow. But the flamenco sounds more interesting in the sense of listening to it closely if you’re teaching somebody individual parts.

The brown one sounds good for an emotional performance other sounds good for like replaying things over and over again just to make the notes and melody heard.

Hard to say, you are comparing a blanca to a negra. That tremolo favors a negra. May I ask where that piece is from? You played it beautifully.
