In this video, I have shared some consequences of over-consumption that can be led to Mental Constipation. Today we associate Comfort with Physical Inactivity like working from home, vacuum cleaner, finding a seat on the bus, etc. These things reduce our Physical Activity and logically we should consume less food. But we probably aren't doing that as well.

Talking about Constipation is about taking in more than you put out. This can also be applicable in the matter of money. This results in an increase in wants and when you don't know where to spend it creates Constipation of Money.

Today there is Over-Consumption of Information as well. Our brains are not able to take up that much information for such a short time. We need to know how we take the learnings from the video, live streams, Netflix Documentary, etc., and apply in the real life. It can be in any form like a letter, blog post, talking with friends.

This leads to Mental Constipation and mental block as our brain no longer tells what is important and what is not. Comment down below how we can figure out this problem of Mental Constipation and share some suggestions so that others can get help from it.

This was the most important video.In the time of information we just try to consume more and more but our mental energy gets wasted. I also have this habit of watching informative videos on YouTube but from now on I will try to reduce this.

After my college started offline, I don't feel like picking up phone, feels like it's too much, so to chill down I just walk without listening to music or video or podcast and I feel light, and i liked the way you portrayed it "we forgot how to poop" 😂,
I think writing a daily journal can be a way to put it out

To avoid mental constipation, we can use
NICE - filtering means
Filter information you consume nicely
According to your
N- Needs ( very important, important, less important, least important)
I- Interests
C- concerns
E- Expectations
If we could do this learning, relearning and unlearning happens..

Less distractions too, saying no to information needs courage ....

I think it is the craving to learn everything in one day that just leads us to.this form of constipation.We need to take.knowledge one by one at a time and apply it in real life before learning more.

Hell even I was thinking of this for the past few months. With the rise of social media, podcasts, videos suddenly there is so much gyan all around me but I have no time or resources to use that gyan in the real world, so I have decided to put a limit on that gyan consumption for the time being.

One way to limit consumption of content on platforms like Instagram could be to reduce the number of people you are following and revise that list every month or so, keeping the number close to a 100 or lower. I do it, and it has helped me. Because I feel we consume so much content which isn't at all required. Completely agree with the video! Keep 'em coming Siddharth! :)
