Fire Roll Friction Fire...Using A Cloth Shop Rag

I wasn't going to make a video today. I was just outside practicing the Fire Roll technique. I brought 3 cotton balls out, my ashes, and boards, and quickly got ignition 3 times. I thought I would try some fabric for a change. There was an old shop towel under my work table so that's what I tried. well ... after all your experiments, I guess it should be easy for the rest of us to have some success with that technique !

The ease of this method makes you wonder if this was the way real woodsmen made fires back in primitive times. (Using the more natural materials of course.) Rubbing sticks in various ways seems hard in comparison.

Seems like a real simple formula too: Fibers, friction (material), flats, and force.
