The #1 Reason To Settle Your Workers Comp Case!

The #1 reason to settle your workers compensation case is that you get to bargain for a known outcome, which eliminates the risk of going to trial and guarantees that you receive compensation for your case.

By settling your case, you'll receive a lump sum payment from the insurance company that is yours to do with as you see fit. Unlike workers compensation benefits, which end when you're medically cleared to return to work, a settlement is yours to keep forever. This can relieve any financial pressure you might be experiencing and provide you and your family with a safety net.

Additionally, a lump sum settlement can pay you for benefits that you never end up using. For instance, if you're entitled to benefits for prolonged periods of lost time or permanent partial disability, you would lose out on money if you went back to work early. But if you negotiated the settlement based on that same period of projected lost time and settled your case, you can go back to work whenever you want and still keep that money.

I was injured at work in November, put on light duty that hurt me more and dr ordered physical therapy and tightened restrictions that my work couldnt accomodate and so i was off for 3 or 4 weeks n got workmans comp checks from Sedgwick. I work at best buy distribution center for 5 years in shipping. I did the 6 visits of PT and therapist recommended more to the doctor. The doctor though said "well we'll send you back full duty and you can always come back if you need to". It took less than 3 weeks and i reinjured way worse (lower back). Ive been off since january this time and i do get a weekly check which isnt much. First few checks were late and between that and them not being much my family and i have been reduced to a motel room. MRI showed degenerative discs disease, bulging discs, annular fissure tears and i dont even know what else. I dont like my adjuster and i dont like the new person that been saying she is a nurse with sedgwick and is my advocate. I got injection in my spine, specialist appointment is 95 miles away and i dont have a car. I missed one for that reason and was threatened with medical non compliance and was told if i miss next one it will be medical non compliance. I got a ride to the appointment 95 miles away two days ago and got all the way there and gotessage saying dr called in sick have to reschedule. This has been an absolute terrible experience, its put my family in survival mode. Its just really bad. At what point does an attorney become necessary? Is this something i can get a lump some put of?
