UPP 2 Demo – Use Case 3: Rome, NY

This use case utilizes the same operations and flight areas as NYUASTS used in the Use Cases 1 and 2, with additional complexity. An authorized public safety official requests a UVR via USS for a fireworks event near the farmers’ market. Meghan is back with a replacement drone which is not connected to a USS, so she doesn’t know about the UVR and gets too close to the fireworks. Public safety officials receive information about her drone via remote ID and initiate the appropriate process to request operator contact information from the FAA.
