Took one look at the box and couldn’t fathom out how to remove the casing from the fuse box! At least I now have a clue.

This is the only jump start video I have seen which explains that you have to connect the crocodile clip to the positive plate the right way round! Very helpful. After watching this I managed to jump a car which yesterday I was having no luck starting. It works, great! Just remember: The copper teeth side with the cable attached needs to be in contact with the positive plate!!

This has been very helpful, as we've had battery problems common to Toyota Hybrids ( and other models) and we need to prepare for the need to jump start if the battery fails on us again. Its a bit confusing to a novice that the 12 v battery is under the rear seat, and helpful to know where to connect the jump leads to the fuse box as you've shown. Cheers. R

Be careful about not putting the positive and negative jumper clips too close together, or you will get the fright of your life by the massive current draw and explosion.
