Compliment, give, address value, sell!
The formula varies. I do asphalt maintenance.
Door opens compliment their home or property! Advise them of looming problems, inform them what you're going to do to fix it, offer advice to maintain the minor surface problems themselves, then tell them what it's going to cost to get what you've described.

Man Adam you have no clue how much you’re helping me. It sounds like I am a lot like you were when you first started. I’m so sensitive. When someone is mean to me I almost instantly want to tuck my tail and run. I know I’m capable of being great at this but I wander if my thin skin will ever turn thick. I’m half to hear someone was sensitive like me in the beginning. One time an insurance agent yelled at me on the phone and I went home and slept and slept most of the next day because I was depressed from being yelled at. 🤣🤣: I’m going to do what you say and keep chugging in hopes that I develop thick skin. ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
