So true, rather than getting scared by AI we should focus on using AI to increase our work efficiency. Because no one's gonna risk their business on the base of the decisions made by AI and also to analyze the results given by AI they will need a data analyst for that too.

I couldn't agree more, AI will redefine everyday workflow for data analysts but it cannot replace how subject matter experts + domain knowledge are applied on everyday business decisions

Anyone who thinks publicly available AI (at its current stage) would replace Analysts have never used AI to solve an actual problem. You, as an analyst, should know what to do and then leverage AI to make your work faster and better. AI makes several mistakes, its not yet independent.

AI uses human data as tools to improve its knowledge and eventually may replace us.

Uh yes. Wait a for more generations when it doesn’t screwup. Don’t ever say no about AI. It became creative and gave the middle finger to everyone who ever commented on that. It will middle finger the data analyst and all human brain knowledge work, and labour work. After that it will require human brain compute to scale and plug you in (due to lack of energy for scaling its compute). Once BCI becomes a thing.
