Goldfish typically live around 10 to 15 years. Depending on their habitat, aka the size of their tank. How clean it's kept. Their food schedule.
Because there are some varieties living up to 30 years when provided with proper care. Unfortunately, many goldfish do not reach their lifespan potential due to inadequate housing conditions. Housing needs to meet both their behavioural and physiological needs

My guinea pig pup is called hope. After a tragic accident where two got eaten by a dog... It was so sad and always will be. So we named her hope, and our other pig gets along with her fairly well

Honestly, I think a dog is arguably EASIER to work with than a fish, assuming you have available time and resources. If a dog is hungry, it will get your attention. If it needs to go to the bathroom, you will realize it sooner or later

If you genuinely _want_ your dog to be well cared for, and you have enough time to be able to pay attention to it, your dog _will_ let you know. And for all the headaches they can be, I think it’s worth something in itself
