My problem is no matter what Bluetooth I'm using when I make or receive a phone call or listen to voicemail it bumps my volume to max. I remember once or twice having to bump my volume way up on a call but why has that become a default and how can I fix it? I don't have the Adaptive Sound feature but going into my sound profile I have now turned on a feature called Normalize Volume. Ironically it sounds like a prior version of Adaptive sound, however mine was already turned off so I'm now going to try turning it on and see if that helps. I'm hoping that means even when I receive a call it will be normalized to the volume I was last listening to YouTube, for instance. It's really very frustrating because when I answer a call, on my screen there goes my volume bumping up to Are You Nuts and I have to try to tap it down before the person begins speaking. 😫

I thought it was something like this, but at the end I noticed that it stopped when I got the protective case off, so it was the plastic shrinking and pressing the button constantly up. Maybe this is not your case, but you should check it out. Good luck guys.

My android 13 volume jumps up to the max or min, even when I barely push the slider on the side once or twice.

Easy shortcut it has some chance of working just press you volume button both up and down at same time for long and the there is a chance that a thing called talkback message will come and the decline or accept the message it's your choice and boom you are done

Every where I look it says switch off 'adaptive sound' but that option is not on my Oppo a78. Phone.

None of this worked, then found a random thread on reddit after several searches about the Android sleep app. I turned off the Sonar setting of that app and voila! No more max volume as it was happening at night on videos but not during the day. So makes sense it was happening during my "desired sleeping time" only, but being that I had issues with sleep and waking I wasn't getting that time. Apparently sonar will adjust the sound because it can't track unless at max volume!

If u dont have any adaptive feature or normalize volume just turn off the media audio sources

I've disabled Bluetooth, FINALLY found adaptive sound & disabled it--& it's still turning the damn sound down(I restarted it & it doesn't need updating). So, wvat now? Also, as far as the panels & syncing them, you didn't really explain how that is/would be relevant to this issue. Is it?
